The Perry family has been racing for nearly 60 years. From building cars out of the family junkyard to the high banks of Daytona the Perry family has been there.
The first racer in the Family was Russell "Butch" Perry. Butch is the one the started the family addiction to racing starting with a 6cyl Falcon at Stafford Motor Speedway in the late 1960s
Roger is husband to Wendy and is father to Dennis, Rob and Mellissa. Everyone of them has raced at somepoint. Wendy and Melissa in ladies races and Rob in mini stocks at the Speedbowl while Roger, Dennis and grandson Jacob are the ones who have had the longest careers in racing on this side of the family.
Norm Perry is Butch's son and began his racing career in enduros. He then moved on to the latemodel division. Norm has retinitis pigmentosa a degenerative eye disease that ended his racing career. Now legally blind he is still very active in racing and owns Ashaway Performance Engines where he has built sevreal race and championship winning motors including in his own Tour Modified that won at White Mountain in 22 with Kirk Alexander driving.
Dennis Perry started racing at 15 and raced enduros, mimistocks, sportsman, latemodels, Sk modifieds and tour type modifieds.
Referred to by track writer Allan B Coul as the Wolfman, Joe Perry was always a fan favorite with his friendly and personal attitude with fans and competitors
Shelly Perry is the first female racer in the family and her career is filled with history making firsts. With her father and her brother by her side she has raced from Maine to Florida.
Jacob Perry is the 1st 3rd generation racer in the family. He started in 1/4 midgets at 4 years old and has progressed thru the ranks.
